I saw a beautiful photo a while ago of a bunny rabbit with a crown and royal cloak, it inspired me to create this painting (a cropped view is on the photo). The entire painting has the queen bunny sitting on a plush cushion. The zoomed in photo above shows some of the fun ink markings giving the artwork a sketched feel. This painting is 12 inches by 9 inches which is one of my favourite sizes to paint onto. I guess it’s because it easily fits on my lap as well as a parcel when posting to a customer, that is if it sells. I’ve noticed the last three years have gotten so crowded on the internet with artists, it is a struggle to get your paintings in internet feeds and on social media streams. So much content is floating on the world wide web compared to when I began selling my artworks almost a decade ago that I wonder at times if it is still worthwhile perusing a career in hand painted originals. Everyone else seems to be plastering there designs on everything from tea towels to key rings, multi selling oodles of products rather than one off’s. But to me it’s so much more satisfying knowing you get something that no one else will have, each painting is truly unique.
